Insurance for coaches

According to coach.ca, ''although General Liability or Professional Liability may not be a legal requirement for the sport or activity you are involved in, it may be a requirement of a governing body, local Association, or Facility owner. Even if Insurance is not mandatory, we still STRONGLY recommend you purchase the coverage for any coaching activities for your Protection as activities outside of an Association or League may not be covered.''

In order to offer classes in our facilities, Decathlon Activities requires all coaches to provide a proof of professional liability insurance.

Although we do not recommend one more than another, here is a list of insurance companies that some of our coaches have been using:
