Should I choose drop-in or session first?
From the researched that has been done internally the best solution for you to sell the most offers is session first. Create the x weeks session confirming the timeslot with your Local Activities Leader then market that to your participants. If participants are asking for drop-in classes let them know that they would be online around a week out from the session start date. The reason you want to wait on publishing the drop-in classes is because of the capacity of your class. You do not want to end up being in the situation where you have sold more offers than your total capacity. When publishing the drop-in class make sure to change the capacity to the number of open spots left that have not been sold.
Example: you have sold 7 session classes and have 3 remaining spots left of your capacity of 10. Now you will create a drop-in for 3 participants to fill those last minute spots.
Information on what is a Drop-in and Session
Drop-in classes are one off situations. You can schedule multiple drop-in classes, but participants will book and pay them one at a time.
The pros about this is that it allows the participants flexibility to choose the classes they would like to attend. For example this is beneficial when a participant can only make two weeks out of the whole 10 week session.
It also allows you to fill up extra spots if you have not sold all your session packages.
The cons about drop-in classes is that your class can vary in size week to week and it might consist of many last minute bookings.
Session are group bundled classes that allow participants to book one time for a predetermined number of weeks.
The pros about this is that your participants will be the same weekly and you will not have to guess if there will be participation in your class that week. Sessions are also great for clientele relationship building and lesson planning that will be more related to your participants.
The cons about sessions is that it is concrete where participants cannot cancel one class out of the predetermined number of weeks. If they pay for an 8 week session, then whichever one they miss is still paid for and will not be refunded.
Please view our Terms & Conditions (19. Payment and Refunds) regarding refunding processes.
Note: that these two types of classes are the only offers we provide. At this moment we are unable to provide monthly memberships or 10 punch passes.
